The University of Alicante formally committed to the principles of “The European Charter for Researchers” and “The Code of Conduct for the recruitment of Researchers” in 2013. These documents, adopted by the European Commission in 2005 are cornerstone for a continuous improvement of researchers’ careers in Europe, since they ensure having the same rights in any EU Country.
With the aim of ensuring and adequate framework for researchers and contributing towards the enhancement of the prestige and attractiveness of the research career within the European Research Area, the University of Alicante has been awarded with the HRS4R seal. From now on UA will use it to promote a stimulating and favourable work environment for its researchers, thus guaranteeing the existence of fair and transparent recruitment and evaluation processes.
At present, UA is working on the second phase of the HRS4R process (with a 24 months duration ending in May 2022) implementing all tasks detailed in the action plan. This second phase will finalise with the evaluation of UA interim report in terms of quality and progress.
